Austin 2030 is a network of school, higher education, non-profit, business, civic, and community leaders committed to improving education outcomes for Austin children and youth.

Austin is celebrated nationally for its booming economy and known for its entrepreneurial, energetic, creative, and progressive vibe. Our city consistently ranks at the top of national “Best Of” lists.

Our city’s economy is thriving - promising more growth and the need for a skilled workforce. Yet the percentage of Austin students enrolling in college, trade school or certificate programs following high school graduation has been declining for the last decade. Austin’s postsecondary enrollment rates are among the lowest in the state.

Austin 2030 recognizes that no one program or institution can single-handedly solve the complex education challenges facing our community. Improving outcomes for Austin’s students requires strategic partnerships, alignment across sectors, shared accountability, and a long-term commitment to collaboration with students and families.

Austin 2030 is currently focused on improving postsecondary outcomes for Austin’s youth through the establishment of a college promise. We believe that if we work together there is no reason our city cannot become a place where all children and youth thrive.
